The Mill Restaurant is a small friendly restaurant offering a relaxing but efficient service. The dinner menu changes seasonally. Derek and his small team produce food with a modern Irish flavour and he puts the emphasis firmly on top-drawer local produce. Seafood is a strong suit: steamed Doe Castle mussels, grilled Greencastle lemon sole with wilted greens and pesto butter, and seared Cranford scallops with Horn Nead crab, leek risotto and shellfish tomato broth have all featured from time to time.

Small but appealing, it has simple charm and has earned a reputation for giving freshness and quality at a fair price, and is very popular with locals-in-the-know.
