The family vineyards in Ribera del Duero sit at a high elevation, approximately 3,000 feet and is planted exclusively to the indigenous grape of the region; Tempranillo.
The vineyards are farmed sustainably and express the purest essence of the grape through the land and wine making culture.
The climate and sandy soil combination provide ideal terroir for the old vine Tempranillo (over 50 years old), aged in oak for twelve months, cherry red in colour with blue hints. Aromas of red and black fruit with a complex texture, a note of liquorice and a background of cedar box wood. On the palate, it is spicy and tasty. The tannins are sweet, and the finish is long juicy and persistent.less
