This wine is made from a vineyard plot less than 1 hectare in size with vines over 70 years old, the total production every year is about 3500 bottles. A blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Cinsault for the most part as well as other grape varieties (mixed black) used in authentic Châteauneuf-du-Pape (13 grapes are authorised in CDP), but many wine makers just use three.
Cyril uses the whole grape cluster (stems and all). Spicy with red plum flavour, hint of pine, lavender and clove. Very aromatic and lip smacking acidity on the finish.
