The Wine Buff Cork opened in June 2002 and was located at the old Post Office on Washington Street, in 2011 we moved lock, stock and barrel to our new premises on Oliver Plunkett St (just next to the intersection of Princess St) and a stones throw from the English Market.

MANAGER - Darragh Collins
Darragh who run’s the Cork shop has a real passion for good food and great wine and supports as many of the great suppliers in the English market as he can. His favourite meal is Dublin bay prawns (from Pat O’ Connell, fishmongers) with lashings of garlic and chilli followed by a rib eye steak on the bone from Eoin in O’Mahonys buthchers also in the market. My ideal wine match would be the Frank Millet sancerre for the prawns and the Villa Erbice Amarone with the rib eye. For everyday drinking I’m a big fan of the Swartland pinotage, ticks all the boxes.
